Monitoring CINV: Beyond the Clinic Conversations with Your Patient
The consequences of uncontrolled or prolonged chemotherapy-induced nausea & vomiting (CINV) are dire with negative impact to the primary cancer treatment of the patient. In addition, the severity/frequency of cancer patients' CINV episodes, especially in the delayed phase, in general tend to be underestimated by healthcare providers. To confound this further, these experiences are often not accurately reported by the patient at the clinic. A half-day program on CINV will be held at the Royal Adelaide Hospital Cancer Centre on 22 June (Wed) to showcase to participants, state-of-the-art clinic systems as well as patient profile-based interrogative techniques which will help healthcare providers to uncover the patient's true concerns & experiences in CINV.
